What is Somaception?
The Somaception Method is a mind -- body approach to eating. “Soma”: being of the body and “-ception”: being to receive, somaception is a method of reteaching the body to better receive the signals sent by food. It is a mindful eating approach. To properly read the signals that food sends us through our senses we have to cut out background noise. We have to focus on our food without distractions and eliminate the false signals of artificial flavors and sweeteners.
